David Keith Ambassador

David Keith - Ambassador

David is one of the first three members of YAAG and proudly serves as our very first YAAG ambassador. David is a close friend of Andrew, the son of YAAG founder Angie Slagle. David and Andrew share common interests and have taken several vacation trips together.

David has endless curiosity and enthusiasm for the world around him. His favorite interests include:

  • Technology and building websites, as well as Minecraft projects
  • A passion for learning how electrical power lines and stations are built
  • Trips and activities with YAAG families and members, where he shines as a helper, friend, and adventurer
  • Bowling, where he is known for his focus and impressive skill

Through YAAG, David met his girlfriend - a relationship built on kindness, shared experiences, and the supportive environment YAAG provides. Their connection is one of the many examples of how community can change lives.

David often says, "YAAG is the best" and believes YAAG gives young adults like him a place to belong, make friends, and be understood. As an ambassador, he represents everything YAAG stands for: confidence, connection, and community.

Kiernan Smith - Ambassador

Kiernan, 25 years old and standing 4’8” tall, her charm reaches titanic heights. Her charm is unmistakable, her joy infectious, and her loving spirit impossible to overlook. She walks through life with an open heart—approaching new people with confidence, initiating conversations with ease, and offering hugs as naturally as breathing.

Kiernan is endlessly active and engaged with the world around her. She loves working, singing, dancing, fishing, bowling, going to church, and spending time with her friends. Her YAAG community holds a special place in her life, giving her a circle of friendships and activities that fuel her high‑spirited nature.

Kiernan also has a passion for singing, especially the National Anthem. She has performed at several Down Syndrome Partnership of North Texas events, and her debut was nothing short of extraordinary: singing the National Anthem at the Night of Superstars in front of thousands, including a national audience on the Cowboy Channel. It was a moment that showcased not just her voice, but her courage, her joy, and her ability to move people deeply.

Kiernan enjoys life immensely, and life is brighter because she’s in it.
